Wrap it like…
A Little House
Keep the package completely box-shaped and build the house with flat paper details—simple, stable and easy to unwrap.

You need
- Kraft or solid-colour paper
- Dark card for a flat roof shape
- Paper scraps for windows, door and plants
- Tape or glue dots and scissors
How to do it
- Wrap the rectangular box neatly and place its broadest face toward you.
- Cut a large roof triangle and attach it flat across the upper front.
- Add a rectangular door below the roof.
- Build windows from four small paper squares or draw panes with a marker.
- Add one or two flat details such as a shrub, wreath or house number shape.
- Leave the back undecorated so the recipient can find the seam easily.
Key trick
Do not build a structural roof. A flat roof silhouette keeps the project practical while the front still reads immediately as a house.
Variations
Try a snowy cottage, colourful row house, new-home version with a key-shaped tag, or gingerbread-inspired paper details.
Optional product help
Sharp scissors and double-sided tape help the paper details sit cleanly. Use supplies you already own unless a project genuinely calls for something different.
