CURATED GIFT LIST
Gifts for Adult Coloring Lovers
A style-first guide to adult coloring and Canadian colouring: artist-led books, thoughtful media, palette help and the small tools experienced colorists actually use.

FIND THEIR COLORING STYLE
Bold pages and intricate pages ask for different tools.
Bold, single-sided books are often convenient for alcohol markers when a protective sheet sits behind the page. Intricate or double-sided books are often safer with coloured pencils or another non-bleeding medium. These are useful starting points, not rigid rules.
THE ALCOHOL MARKER STARTER KIT
Four separate pieces, not a fake bundle.
Pair the Ohuhu Honolulu set with a suitable single-sided book, a sacrificial sheet of cardstock behind the active page, and a white Gelly Roll for highlights. Alcohol ink commonly bleeds through ordinary colouring-book paper, so check each book before assuming compatibility.
FOR THE PERSON WITH 120 COLOURS
Help them choose six that work together.
A proper colour wheel, a palette deck or a compact harmony reference can be more useful than another enormous marker box. Swatch on the paper they actually use so the recorded colour reflects the real surface.
THEY ALREADY HAVE THE MARKERS
Buy for the workflow.
Choose an artist-led book, palette reference, swatch system, Gelly Roll, sharpener, low-tack tape or page light. Do not assume an experienced colorist needs another random marker set.
LITTLE THINGS COLORISTS USE
The unglamorous advice matters.
Use cardstock as a backing sheet when a credible purpose-made protector is unavailable. Test low-tack tape on an inconspicuous area first. A book clip should hold firmly without marking the page; we did not add a weak generic product simply to monetize that tip.
